
Mr. Nim Tshering, Governing Board Member (GBM) for BRCS and Deputy Chamberlain at His Majestyโs Secretariat, along with Mr. Kuenzang Jamtsho, Minister Counsellor of the Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the UN and representative of the Royal Government of Bhutan (RGOB), and Mr. Dragyel Tenzin Dorjee, Secretary-General of BRCS, called on the Ambassador (Kutshab) of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bhutan in Geneva for a courtesy debriefing following their successful participation in the International Conference (IC) in Geneva. Kutshab expressed appreciation for BRCSโs strong representation and collaborative efforts.
On behalf of the delegation, the GBM thanked Kutshab and representatives for their continued support, emphasizing the impactful team representation for the IC this year. The Secretary-General highlighted the introductory meeting with the Australian Red Cross (ARC) and the appreciation expressed by ARC officials for Bhutanโs support in their candidate election. BRCS also shared updates on bilateral meetings with Swiss, Finnish, and Singapore Red Cross Societies, critical partners in advancing the BRCS Strategy 2030. Further, the Kutshab was also updated on the introductory meeting held with the Swedish Red Cross leadership to explore possible cooperation, particularly with ARC in support of Bhutan Red Cross volunteers & and Dessups in Australia through a proper systematic channel of control. However, Kutshab advised that these initiatives remain focused on volunteers and Dessups under a clear collaboration framework, with broader Bhutanese integration left to the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Australia.
The meeting concluded with officials applauding the strides made by BRCS under the blessings of Their Majesties and the guidance of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, The President of BRCS. This impactful collaboration reaffirms BRCSโs dedication to advancing humanitarian services and diplomacy in Bhutan.
