On the 1st working day of 2024, Bhutan Red Cross Society (BRCS) donated the medical items received from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to the Kidu Medical Service Center.

These donated medical items will be distributed to the Kidu Medical Service Center, His Majesty’s People’s Project, reaching patients who are both socially and financially disadvantaged.

The impact of this contribution will be far-reaching. Patients battling prolonged health conditions, such as cancer and organ failures, will greatly benefit from the availability of these medical supplies. Additionally, a portion of the donated items will be allocated to the ‘Goensho Tshamkhang’, a facility established under the guidance of His Majesty The King which serves as a compassionate refuge for elderly individuals who lack familial support, offering them a nurturing environment, spiritual solace, and essential medical care.
