The Hon’ble Secretary-General of the Bhutan Red Cross Society (BRCS) called on His Excellency, the Ambassador of Bhutan to Thailand during the BRCS delegation’s visit to Thailand to the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS).

The Hon’ble Secretary-General shared insights into BRCS’s ongoing disaster preparedness efforts under the directives of the BRCS Incident Command System and guidances from His Majesty’s Secretariat. Further made update on both national and international emergency preparedness by BRCS fostering the efforts of the RGOB including the development of specialized services and community volunteer programs. Further updates of the meeting with TRCS highlighted the visit to the TRCS Disaster Operation Center, including their EOC called the War Room, the logistics system, warehouse & their mobile communication systems during emergencies. His Excellency the Ambassador commended BRCS’s pandemic responses and the development further integration into the national system.

Discussions also highlighted the potential collaboration between BRCS and TRCS, where the Embassy sees this partnership as a valuable opportunity for BRCS, enhancing cooperation and enhancing friendship between the two countries developing beyond bilateral and trade cooperations.
