Today, four innovative youth volunteers from Gedu College of Business Studies signed an individual innovation small grant project agreement with BRCS. We are happy to announce that these youth volunteers were selected from a pool of 1,000 participants to receive this grant!
The Hon’ble Secretary-General offered heartfelt congratulations for their selection in Phase II of the IFRC Limitless Youth Innovation Academy. This global initiative empowers youth and volunteer-driven innovation at the local level, focusing this year on addressing the climate and environmental crises.
These youth volunteers received seed funding with professional development and peer support. This funding will allow them to use the resources as they see fit to advance their projects. Additionally, they will benefit from peer training and mentoring, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge.
In Phase II, the grant recipients will develop prototypes and conduct pilot implementations to gather community feedback, refining their innovations to better serve their needs. They have until August 25 to apply for Phase III, where they could receive larger grants and further coaching. The top five projects will pitch their ideas to global leaders at the General Assembly in Geneva this October.
We believe in the power of our young innovators and look forward to witnessing the impact of their projects.
Congratulations once again to our incredible youth volunteers!
