The Bhutan Red Cross Society inducted the first batch of Red Cross Taxi volunteers of Bumthang branch. Following the induction program, in marking the Zero Waste Hour, 45 volunteers accompanied by the Finnish Red Cross delegates rigorously cleaned Chamkhar Rongchu(adopted stretch of the stream). Volunteers collected the waste majority of old rugs and clothes, plastics and pet bottles, which were picked up by the Municipal waste management Unit.The Bhutan Red Cross Society volunteers will clean and maintain the adopted stretch on a periodic basis.
