

With an ever burgeoning cases of accidents, disasters and emergency situation, Bhutan Red Cross Society has pick up its pace in inducting more volunteers on non-medical first aid.
To further enhance the reach, yet another induction program on non-medical first aid was provided to some 35 new volunteers and 5 inducted volunteers in Tsirang.
The medical expert volunteer with BRCS, Dr. Kipchu Tshering trained the volunteers to respond to different kinds of emergencies such as, fracture,sprain,strain,dislocation,Choking,wound,embedded object,Spinal injury etc.

In addition,the volunteers were also trained in managing unconscious breathing person and like wise unconscious not breathing person.
Through these one-day hands on training, the participants will have the right techniques on providing first-aid services to the victims and be a helpful witness to an emergency situation.
With this, BRCS has so far conducted non-medical first aid induction in five dzongkhags.
