The meeting besides the visiting delegation lead by the Hon’ble Secretary-General of IFRC, was attended by the official from His Majesty’s Secretariat,
De-suung officials, & officials from Bhutan Red Cross. After a presentation by the De-suung Official, the officials discussed opportunities of adding value where possible to the advancement of the organization. The SG congratulated the De-suung organization for the demonstration of a wide range of activities & services in the country. Some opportunities of assistance from IFRC being digitalization in terms of Disaster Preparedness and capacity building of internationally recognized and certified courses.
The visit is to entail to see opportunities how IFRC can support De-suung also especially in Disaster Prepardness and Management to link up to the international system of Disaster Management. The SG asked for proposals being shared.
“The reason we are meeting today is upon the royal command to see the two noble initiatives of De-suung and Bhutan Red Cross take it further with convergence of co-existence of partnership to serve its purpose for humanity. I see a lot of potential in these two organization to build up mandates with His Majesty’s great vision of social equalization taking the nation further. A partnership reference is seen necessary”.
