The EOC, equipped with satellite phones and a radio base station, serves as an alternative to the National EOC. These critical tools ensure uninterrupted communication during large-scale disasters, especially in Bhutan’s vulnerable terrain, where earthquakes, floods, and landslides can disrupt regular communication networks. With satellite connectivity, responders can coordinate life-saving operations, deploy relief services, and maintain essential links with international movement partners.

This initiative reaffirms Bhutan Red Cross’s commitment to building a more resilient Bhutan through innovation, international cooperation, and community-centered solutions.

Additionally, as a tribute to Her Majesty’s selfless service and dedication to the nation, Bhutan Red Cross also unveiled a special Photo Album, “The Frames of Humanity Vol-001,” capturing powerful moments of compassion and resilience. It is a humble offering to Her Majesty, our President, whose leadership continues to inspire humanitarian action across the country.
